Lists and lead capture
Leadnote Pages: build and share landing pages
Build a simple landing page in Leadnote, attach an enquiry form, publish it and share the link with leads over WhatsApp or email while tracking views.
Leadnote Pages let you build a simple web page for a product, service or offer and send its link to your leads. You write a heading and some text, add a button, optionally attach an enquiry form, publish the page and share it over WhatsApp or email. Leadnote counts how many times the page was viewed and shared.
Only Account Owners and Managers can create and edit pages, because pages follow the same permission as the enquiry form builder. Other roles cannot open the Pages screens.
Open the Pages list
Go to Hub, open Sales Tools and choose Leadnote Pages. The list shows Total Pages, a search box ("Search by page title") and a sort menu with Name (A-Z), Recently modified, Recently created and Recently shared.
Each row shows the page title, a Published or Draft tag, its views and shares, and "Modified ... | Last shared ...". Use Edit and share to open a page, Copy page link to copy its public address, or the delete button to remove it.
Create a page
- Choose Create a New Page.
- Type a Page title, for example "Spring product launch". This is an internal name that appears in your list.
- Choose Create page. The editor opens with an Edit tab and a Preview tab. Use Preview to see exactly what visitors will get.
Write the page content
In the Page content card you can set:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Page title | Internal name shown in the pages list. |
| Heading | The large title on the page. Required. |
| Body | The text. A blank line starts a new paragraph. |
| Button label and Button link | An optional button. The link must start with https://, or with / for a page inside Leadnote. |
| Enquiry form (optional) | Pick one of your forms, or No form. Visitors can then send their details from the page. |
| Accent colour | Sky, Marigold, Coral or Midnight. |
| Page sharing message | The text sent with the link. |
In the sharing message, type {{lead.firstName}} where you want the lead's first name. The page link is added at the end automatically. The default is "Hi {{lead.firstName}}, take a look at (page title)."
Search engines and sharing
The Search engines and sharing card controls how the page looks in search results and when its link is shared. You can set a Search title, a Search description and a Social sharing image (https link). A switch decides whether the page is Hidden from search engines (noindex) or Visible to search engines. New pages start hidden, so switch it off only for pages you want people to find through search.
Publish the page
Use the switch under the content to move the page between two states:
- Published: visible to anyone with the link.
- Draft: not visible yet. A draft link shows "Page not found".
Choose Save. A message confirms "Page saved".
Capture leads with a form
If you attach an enquiry form, the page shows a "Send us your details" card that opens the form. Submissions go through the form you picked, so they arrive in that form's list like any other submission. Build and style the form first, then pick it here. See lead capture forms and customise your lead capture form. To put a form on your own website instead of a Leadnote page, read embed a form on your website.
Share the page with leads
The Share Page Via card sits under the editor.
- Save your changes. If the page has unsaved edits, Leadnote asks you to save first so the shared page matches what you see.
- Make sure the page is published.
- Choose WhatsApp or Email.
- Search for leads by name, company, email or phone and click the ones you want. You can pick several. Leads with no email address (for email) or no mobile number (for WhatsApp) are skipped.
- Choose Share via WhatsApp or Share via Email.
You get a result such as "Shared with 6 leads (2 skipped: no mobile number)". One share reaches at most 500 leads.
Pages go out as marketing messages through the same system as campaigns. They use your organisation's own email or WhatsApp provider when you have connected one, and your sending limits and consent rules apply. See sending limits, unsubscribes and consent. Check what really happened to each message in the message log: delivery status and the message log.
Track views and shares
Back in the list, each page shows how many views and shares it has and when it was last shared. A view is counted each time the public page loads. Each share adds to the page's shares counter.
Delete a page
Choose the delete button on a page row, or Delete in the editor, and confirm. Leadnote warns that links already shared will stop working. If you may want the page back, set it to Draft instead.
Pages on the mobile app
The Leadnote mobile app has a Pages entry in the app menu. It lists your pages with their status and the number of shares, and lets you:
- Open a page, then Copy link, Open page or Share link through your phone's share sheet.
- Use Send to leads to send the page to selected leads from your own WhatsApp, text messages or email app.
- Share a page from a single lead with the Pages action on that lead.
Pages cannot be created or edited in the app. If a page is a draft, the app reminds you to publish it in the web app first. A share from your phone is sent by the app you choose, so Leadnote only records it: the page's shares counter goes up and a note is added to the lead's history. No sending allowance is used. See the mobile home screen and menu.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not share my page?
The page must be published and saved first. Leadnote says 'Publish the page before sharing it' for a draft and 'Save your changes first' when you have unsaved edits. Leads without an email address (for email) or a mobile number (for WhatsApp) are skipped.
Can anyone see a published page?
Yes. A published page opens for anyone who has the link. A draft page, or one that has been deleted, shows 'Page not found'.
What happens to links I already shared if I delete a page?
They stop working and visitors see 'Page not found'. Setting the page back to Draft has the same effect without deleting your work.
Are my pages shown in search engines?
Not by default. A new page is hidden from search engines until you switch that setting off in the Search engines and sharing card.
Can a page collect enquiries?
Yes. Choose one of your enquiry forms in the page editor and the page shows a 'Send us your details' card that opens the form.
