Find overdue and today's follow-ups in Leadnote

See which follow-ups are due today, overdue or coming up using the dashboard schedule, lead list filters, the calendar and the mobile Follow-Ups tab.

The quickest way to see what needs doing is the Follow-up schedule card on the Dashboard: pick a timeline such as Today or All overdue and the card lists every matching lead with its next follow-up date and note. The same information is also available as lead list filters, on the calendar and on the Follow-Ups tab of the mobile app.

The dashboard Follow-up schedule

Open Dashboard in the sidebar and scroll to the Follow-up schedule card. It follows the lists you selected at the top of the dashboard, so choose your lists first.

Two controls shape the card.

Assigned To is a multi-select of users. The default is All Users. Tick one or more people to narrow the card; use "Search users" to find someone in a long team.

Follow-up Timeline has six options:

Timeline What it lists
Today Follow-ups due today, with the date shown.
Next 7 days Follow-ups due from tomorrow up to 7 days ahead (today is not included).
Last 7 days Open follow-ups that were due in the 7 days before today (today is not included).
All overdue Every open follow-up dated yesterday or earlier.
All upcoming Everything on schedule from tomorrow onwards.
Date to be set Assigned leads that have no follow-up date yet.

A sentence above the table gives the count in plain words, for example "3 follow-ups scheduled for today", so you can read the number at a glance.

The table shows Name, Organization, Potential, Product Groups, Customer Group, Assigned To, Next Follow-up Date and Follow-up Notes, eight rows per page. Press View Lead to open the lead, log what happened and complete or reschedule the follow-up. See Complete or reschedule a follow-up.

When nothing matches you see "No Follow-ups due on this day" with the hint "Start assigning leads and set follow-ups".

Overdue on the lead page

Open a lead. If its follow-up time has already passed, the Assignment & Follow-up card shows a red badge reading "Overdue by" followed by how long, for example "Overdue by 2 days". The follow-up stays overdue until you complete it or reschedule it. Nothing is deleted automatically.

The small difference between the lead page and the dashboard is deliberate: the lead page is exact to the minute, while the dashboard groups by whole days.

Filter the lead list by follow-up

  1. Open Leads & Customers.
  2. Open the filter panel and expand the Follow-up section.
  3. Choose a preset: Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Next Week, No Follow-up Date, Do Not Follow Up, or a Custom Range.

The chosen filter appears as a chip such as "Follow-up: Overdue" that you can remove with one click. You can also sort by Follow-up Date and add the Next follow-up Date and Follow-up Notes columns through the column chooser. More on filters is in Search and filter leads.

See the day on the calendar

The Follow-up Calendar shows each follow-up on its day. Overdue entries are marked, and the side panel for the selected date has an Overdue label. Use the Agenda view for a flat list of the days ahead.

On the mobile app

The Follow-Ups tab opens on today, and its timeline control offers Selected day, Next 7 days, Last 7 days, All overdue and All upcoming. Overdue entries carry an Overdue mark. The tab is described in Set follow-ups and to-dos in the app.

Make overdue work a habit, not a surprise

  • Start the day on the Today timeline and clear it before moving on.
  • Use All overdue at the end of the week, and either complete or reschedule each lead. A reschedule keeps a record, so the history shows how long a lead waited.
  • Check Date to be set weekly. These are assigned leads with nobody expecting to contact them.
  • For leads you decided not to chase, set the lead to Do not follow-up so they do not clutter the list. See Repeat follow-ups and Do not follow-up.

Who sees what

You see follow-ups for leads you are allowed to access. Owners and managers see every lead. Whether a team member sees a teammate's leads depends on the lead access rules and team visibility settings your owner chose.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as overdue on the dashboard?

On the dashboard, All overdue means follow-ups dated before today in your organisation time zone, including yesterday and earlier. A follow-up due earlier today is still listed under Today.

Why is an overdue badge on a lead that the dashboard shows under Today?

The lead page marks a follow-up overdue as soon as its time has passed, even on the same day. The dashboard groups by whole days.

How do I find leads that have no follow-up at all?

On the dashboard choose the Date to be set timeline. In the lead list use the Follow-up filter and select No Follow-up Date.

Can I see a teammate's follow-ups?

Owners and managers can pick any users in the Assigned To filter. Team members see the follow-ups of leads they are allowed to access, and a team lead may see more if team visibility is switched on.
